I use priceline & pick a 3 to 4 star hotel, I'm partial to the Westin at 285/400 & the Westin in Buckhead or a double tree, all can be had at under $100 almost all of the time. Taxes are what kill you with hotels, 35% of your total bill will be taxes. I'm a Hilton Gold member so 90% of the time get an upgrade usually to a corner room or a high floor at the Buckhead Westin 20 stories up. Was able to fulfill a fantasy at the Buckhead Westin with the corner room.

Whatever you do don't take them to a notel.

Another option is air b and b.
