I confirmed the appointment. A few minutes later texts saying that the appointment would be confirmed after her 'verification' that involved paying 50 dollars up from. I told her that wasn't going to happen. Most probably another scammer.

You may be correct but I think that Apple will find a way in other countries that don't copy US policy. Asians really depend on this app to communicate with friends and family. There's not many options to communicate with people inside of China. I've read that Android users will be able to download abroad.

I'm more concerned with privacy issues from signing up for a VPN than with WeChat.
