OK, so I am basically somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum. I won't speak on others opinions but on this subject I can. I have just recently (three weeks ago) returned to Atlanta from a three year stay in Seattle. I dealt with the "protests" on a DAILY basis. Not sure what the news here is telling you, but I know first hand what they were. There ARE organised professionals driving these. At this point antics is more just the name that covers them all. These aren't gatherings of peaceful locals, well unless you count the super-libs who drove in from Bellevue and took selfies before running like he'll before sundown. In the beginning there was an actual message to there movement. As time went on, hyper organised groups showed up and pushed things further and further. So while I do agree with some things you say sgtsoros, you are terribly misinformed on the going ons on the west coast. And I assure you, you have no idea what REALLY went on in CHOP. Mayor Durian did a lot to keep that off tv.

Ill take his direct quotes over your source, the once believable CBS news.(well at least it wasnt as blatant in Cronkites day)
Nearly 100% of the journalists there are inflicted with tds and it shows in their pieces, sticks out like a sore thumb,
and yet you take every word as the gospel, a 30 second critique,is all it takes to show the slant of that and most all stories not reports anymore.
God bless y'all, maybe someday you'll come to your senses.
Somebody once said "father forgive them for they not know what they do".
You debate well, but your sources of the information you use are skewing your views. As intended!
You wannna talk about cool aid OMG.
I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, as my sweet grandmother used to say, "bless your heart".
I'll leave it with yall , my blood pressure just can't take it.
Just remember. We're all Americans, and even though we have different views, we should be all pulling the rope in the same direction.
We all bleed the same color, and should respect our flag. And our elders.
Politicians come and go, but trying to change what this country is founded on, is a Very dangerous thing....yall remember that when you go vote.
And please do go vote, however you vote is your right,if you dont vote its a slap in face to those that fought to give us that right.
I don't hate anyone, especially not over their political views.
God Bless you sarge, and all the rest.

Posts: 2340“Antifa" more a figment of the far-right's lackluster imagination...
Ah yes Antifa; Boogeyman to Trumpanzees everywhere. You ignore the threats to national security posed by white supremacist terror groups that have headed the FBI's list of domestic dangers for years. Unfortunately, this is all part of Trump's homicidally narcissistic plan to create a race war mentality all over the country as a way of riling up his white supremacist base, fomenting violence and scaring people away from the polls.

You know darn well they tried their damnedest to try to find a connection and the fact that they couldn't find these connections is proof of just how clever antifa really is. Clearly, antifa infiltrated the federal prosecutors.......lol

Posts: 247Antifa is just dressed up fascism / communism under another name.
I got relatives that are "well off" with multiple homes, investments etc and they believe the CNN / mainstream propaganda about how "great" Antifa is. I show them countless news articles showing the violence they perpetuate on how they are crypto communist / fascists. They are totalitarian in nature and they do not believe in freedom and liberty. It's just the brownshirts 2.0 and they are getting BIG FINANCIAL BACKING by very powerful people... there is nothing organic about it.

It's gallows humor, but I will be LAUGHING NOT CRYING if these communist freaks and their elitist backers got their way ending the constitution, property rights and my relatives lossing their comfort and properties etc. I am done warning people, let the chips fall where they may... we will become just another example of a failed state... there are already countless failed states throughout history, so time won’t care.

Posts: 2340The more pertinent question you should be asking, how many people have lost their health insurance due to Trump's inept response to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis? Hint, it's at least 12 million!

On the ACA/Obamacare its actually more popular than ever........
* 55% approve of the Affordable Care Act; 45% disapprove.
* 94% of Democrats, 11% of Republicans and 53% of independents approve.
* 78% have NOT had to change doctors nor give up their medical plan.
* The same percentage (78%) report that they did not have to give up a medical plan they liked because of its noncompliance with the ACA.
* 28% say the ACA allowed them to obtain health insurance after not having it previously.
* 22% were able to keep or add an adult child on their plan, a key benefit mandated by the ACA that took effect in 2010.
* 20% say they have gotten coverage for a preexisting medical condition that wasn't covered before the law was passed.

Americans want Obamacare expanded, not repealed, on its tenth anniversary.....
The Affordable Care Act, a signature healthcare law signed by President Barack Obama in 2010, marks its tenth anniversary on March 23. A new YouGov Poll shows that attitudes toward Obamas healthcare law have grown more positive over the years, even as President Donald Trump and Republicans have fought to dismantle it.

Posts: 65Trump has surrounded himself with a lot of strong women, Kayleigh McEnany being one of my ATF and not just because she's hot as hell. There's something about the way she takes charges and doesn't let people push her around when she's talking.

Curiously, did you watch Trump's town hall meeting earlier this week? Trump unleashed a firehose of lies.

Trump:"Nobody knew the seniors are susceptible".
Truth: Chinese officials emphasized this in public as early as January. The NYT published this on Jan. 23.
Trump: Joe Biden said the pandemic was totally over-exaggerated.
Truth: Biden said no such thingever.
Trump: The cupboards were bare of ventilators when I took over.
Truth: Trump inherited 19,000 ventilators from the Obama administration.
Trump: "We have 20% of the cases because of the fact that we do much more testing".
Truth: Testing does not create cases, it merely reveals them; the USA is 20th worldwide in tests per capita.
Trump: I put a ban on travel from China and Europe to protect Americans.
Truth: The bans had so many holes you could fly a fleet of 747's through them.
Trump: I will make a plan that will protect people with pre-existing conditions; Democrats won't.
Truth: He's promised a plan for 4 years; Democrats support the ACA, which covers pre-existing conditions.
Trump: I ended Obamacare.
Truth: Republicans set the tax for not having insurance to $0 but the ACA is otherwise still intact.
Trump: Biden has agreed to adopt Sen. Bernie Sanders plan for socialized medicine.
Truth: If he'd watched the primary debates, he'd have seen Biden repeatedly oppose Sanders' Medicare for all plan.
Trump: "Black communities are 81% in favor of having more police".
Truth: Actually, the poll he referenced said 20% want more police and 60% want the same amount as now.
Trump: They the Seattle protesters took over a big chunk of the city 20% of the city.
Truth: It was six blocks, a tiny fraction of the city.
Trump: I activated the Minnesota National Guard after George Floyd was murdered.
Truth: Gov. Tim Walz is the one who activated the Guard, not Trump.
Trump: "I saw one form of crime in NYC up 300%.
Truth: No category of crime in NYC is up 300%. It is up slightly from 2019, when it was extremely low.
Trump: I fired Jim Mattis.
Truth: Mattis resigned because he disagreed with Trump on many issues.
And this is only a sampler. But it may also be a preview of the first debate, which is less than 2 weeks away. If Trump is willing to blatantly lie on ABC, there is every reason to believe he will blatantly lie at the debate. This is why there needs to be a "real time" fact checker on the debate stage.

Posts: 2340You keep swigging the Trump Kool-Aid about his coronavirus response. FYI, Obama-era officials met both the H1 N1 and the Ebola crises with SWIFT, effective federal action, prepared a 69-page playbook and briefed the incoming Trump administration about obtaining personal protective equipment, moving quickly to detect and contain potential outbreaks, and using the Defense Production Act to compel private companies to produce needed medical supplies.
Trump, however, disbanded the National Security Council team on pandemic preparedness and made cuts to public health programs and to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Trump essentially wasted two months during which he downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic, spread false information and contradicted his own medical advisors, refusing to take responsibility for the shortages of ventilators, personal protective equipment and needed supplies. Now, he proposes lessening precautions, though infection levels in many areas, especially college towns are rising. It is hard to imagine a president doing a worse job. He deserves to be FIRED in 46 days.

Why? Not as scary when you have all the facts. Now Why would our own news organizations WANT to Scare the American people by not giving the ALL the information, I wonder hmmmmmm. Point made.
ALSO every week in the USA 22,012 on avg die from cardiac arrests what are we going to do shut down all fast food restaurants and bakeries to save them. No.
"THE VIRUS RAGES ON" as you say, but 99.91% of the people don't die, and most are'nt even hospitalized, but Yet you say "THE VIRUS RAGES ON" looks like the media ploy has worked on you my friend. Hook, line, and sinker.
Makes my head hurt.
