Hey guys, posting an update here as it is easier than messaging everyone with the 60 second per message limit. The meeting should be on, but there are a few slight complications. Firstly, the hotel the provider picked which I am now checked into is not provider friendly; a keycard swipe is required to start the elevator and the stairs are all exit only. The two options I have are swiping in a group of three or four people at a time (elevators have personal limits during covid), or propping the 4th floor stair door and opening the first level door for people in the parking lot. Either option is very not ideal; that many swipes in the elevator might raise suspicion, and I can very much guess the doors do not like being propped (probably have sensors and are on camera). A third option which is probably the best is someone waits in the hall of the 4th floor to let me back in with the two or three new guests that I let in from the parking lot access door. I can also do a mixture of meeting people at the elevator and the stairs.

Bottom line, FUCK PROVIDER UNFRIENDLY HOTELS. You're making this hobby super frustrating AND FOR FUCKING WHAT GAIN! Can you imagine doing a convention with these kind of keycard access rules? It's absurd. You'd never be able to have a party room or any guests and then what's the point of the hotel, TO SLEEP IN?! I can sleep at home, thank you very much. End of rant.

Anyways the more important update is the girl is being a little inconsistent in her communication. Before she was texting me back regularly with sentences and pictures, and now it's one word updates, if any. I, unfortunately, have a strong feeling she's going to ghost. But it's just a feeling. Now if she does, here's some basics for you guys.

1. Bring a towel of your own. I can't call down and ask for 20 full size towels without raising suspicion, nor do I want to bring 20 towels for you guys to use. Even if it wasn't a pandemic, that's still gross. So bring your own towel. If you forget, there are paper towels. But also I would just suggest going to the Walgreens down the road and buying one for a dollar. Which leads me to my next point.

2. Bring a discrete bag. A backpack is HEAVILY preferred. A rolling suitcase obviously works. A plastic bag, like from Walgreens, or a reusable grocery bag, will be less discrete but still not raise too many eyebrows. However if 20-30 guys walk through the lobby, each with a plastic bag from Walgreens, someone is going to say WTF. So bring a backpack. The backpack / bag's purpose is to hold your towel, and your clothes, along with any personal items.

3. Regarding personal items, leave as much in your car as you can. Bring only your donation and yourself, if possible. Obviously people want to keep their phones, especially since you and I have to co-ordinate to be at the stairs, and that's fine. In this day and age stealing a phone is like stealing a VCR, so I don't think it's a problem. Just be aware it's in a room with a bunch of people; theft is not the only problem. It could get picked up by accident because it's the same model or stepped on. Highly unlikely, but just food for thought. The safest place for all your things is your car. I don't need your picture I'd. Once you ARE in the room, I ask that you must put your phone in your bag for obvious reasons. Even if the girl was OK getting filmed I'm sure the guys are not.
