If someone catches an STD it generally only effects other people they have sex with, share needles or with some if they kiss. Covid is totally different. When you catch it you can bring it home to your entire family/friends possibly killing someone close to you. So that is why a provider might be more strict with covid testing than std testing. They want to protect their families/friends. And that isn't even including if the provider is high risk for dying from it.

Well, if your immune system is compromised eating old cold cuts can kill you. My question was why she cares about contracting one thing but not dozen others. Someone already provided answer which makes some sense so my curiosity was satisfied. Thanks.

Perhaps you should not be making assumptions about me when you obviously don't understand my position. And that position was me asking serious question. I appreciate explanation thou, it does make more sense now. If she is more concerned about her family than her own health then so be it. Its not crazy. If your immune system is compromised, the virus can kill you instantly. As each following day passes there are new countless ways that will keep you from contracting an STD that would meet the same fate.

Did a test on Friday evening, got results by Sunday afternoon.
