Just a question of general interest, I travel quite a bit for work both domestically and internationally, and find it interesting that some places have a wider prevalence of bareback service on offer than others. For example, Dallas had, until a series of raids a few months ago, a great AMP scene where BBFS was pretty normal and generally on offer. In LA, they have many KMPs that openly advertise BBFS, and others where it's just available, no extra charge. All with CIP available, and hot girls too not just the grandma's and uglies, they do it like it's nothing. Ditto for London, lots of Romanian girls willing to take a load raw anytime you want, usually for upcharge, but lots and lots of selection for BBFS. I haven't been to Toronto, but have heard it's also a bareback haven.

Here in NYC, it's the shittiest selection of BBFS providers of any major metropolitan location I've mongered. It happens to be where I live as well, unfortunately. What gives? Any thoughts or ideas on why BBFS is so much less available here than other places, even ones in the US?

I think it is a mixture of an evolution and an exodus. A couple years ago the break down in NYC might have been 50/50 with one side being UTR/Short Term women with no connections to other escorts. The other side being career escorts and those with handlers or host in locations that have multiple girls at one location. The UTR /Short Term were more willing to negotiate with lowering their rate drastically, going bare, CIP, MSOG, etc since they probably didn't have regulars or just needed a certain amount to get by and they were willing to meet you halfway. A woman desperate to pay a phone bill in the craiglist era could often be talked down from 200/hhr condom only to 80-100/hhr and bare. Either after 1-2 meetings or during before 1st one if they really needed the money.

The other side the career escorts and those that have multiple women in one location have connections with escorts they talk to them exchange stories / rates. So house rules get created. These career escorts or multi provider locations only need a certain number of meetings a month to break even. So once they hit a number of regulars they can't just no longer negotiate. So if they are a 100/150/200 girl who gives you 1 pop of condom only sex in your time. If you disagree with any aspect she can move on she has 15-30 other regulars who do what she wants and NYC has a lot of mongers out here so if one says no another is around the corner to agree to demands. Which also plays a major part having a lot of mongers gives the power to the women.

With that out of way I can say what I think caused the evolution / exodus. Right now the split is probably 99% of women on these escorts sites are career escorts and multi women location spots. Short Term/UTR women kinda non existent. Craigslist, Backpage, and cityxguide went down. There were other options created or popularized to get money like Tinder, SeekingArangement, OnlyFans. So a lot of women in NYC who would have been bareback friendly went elsewhere they evolved with the market. And in 2020 coronavirus happened. Which was the exodus. A lot of good women in the career escort category as well as UTR women just quit. So now you left with women who been in the game for years or just post ads every single day that have their set rules which include no bareback left. I think other cities favor the monger. Like I been to places in Europe where this is legal. And the rates were low and you could get bareback easily. NYC the first question can often be are you a cop / pimp and the women have a lot of options.

I think everything in NYC, whether you're talking about food, entertainment, dating, or hobbying, pretty much mirrors the real estate and rental market here.

In other words it's all overrated, over-entitled, unjustifiably overpriced bullshit, and saturated with demand. Which means everyone has to pay more for less. It's a seller's market, in other words. And just like with the NYC real estate market, I'm really hoping COVid changes that real soon by significantly lessening demand permanently.
