As far as bordering Detroit making it an "elite city" killer There are parts of Grosse Point that also border Detroit (I know the housing in Grosse Point is way different) Some people may clamor to live there. To each his own, I like a lot of green space, A secure area, and living near where I play golf and work. That's basically my only criteria.

There was a day when Flint was up there with Lansing, Grand Rapids and Saginaw. But that was a long time ago. I gave up on Flint about 5 years ago. It's girls in their 50's and up.
