It most certainly is NOT standard practice to give a deposit. Not only does sending money create a paper trail that, if it crosses state lines elevates the potential issue to a felony, but the Escort biz is primarily a cash after transaction.

Cash AFTER does two things. When the deed is done, it is highly unlikely you are dealing with a cop. And paying BEFORE takes away the incentive to do a good job, or even do the job. A cash and dash happens when they get the cash and they get a chance to run. Don't give them that chance.

The #1 rule is no prepay.
