Like I said in previous posts, I'm still new to this hobby, I'm confused about one thing though, maybe someone can clarify.

Why are people paying up front? I pay the waiter / waitress after the meal. I just picked my car up from the shop and paid after the repairs were done. The one provider I saw so far, I paid after we finished and it wasn't an issue at all.

Are they demanding that you pay upfront? That would seem like a red flag to me and I think I would just walk out and accept my loss on the gas and time spent.
