I never thought that Grogrin was behaving online for yucks, but I guess I can see it that way now. Definitely to stir things up, but why? I just bought into the idea he was ultra cheap and really motivated to keep prices low. Not sure. He changed names the most, yet was easy to I D when returning. Perhaps, he is really crazy and Purple more motivated by his causes. And as for those causes, who knows, it could have even been prompted by his wife or her manager in the AMP who asked him to try to identify some particular or several men, for what reason I don't know, but important to them anyway. You never know who they didn't like for whatever reason and might have wanted to prevent entering or get even with some how. I have heard of guys being blacklisted at certain AMPs in the past. Purple may have been utilized to do the dirty work. It must have been added stress on his life at the time, reading what other mongers did with his girlfriend, and she probably denied it, thus he tried ineffectively to get his own answers, and in process, made enemies. That's my take of it anyway. I feel a bit for him. Haven't seen a post by Yolo/Buffett in quite some time, but at least now, with your contribution Fuhgetaboutit, people should believe that the two are different.

Re characterizing by adding a little bit:

Purplemoon et al: is very real with deep feelings, is sometimes somewhat scary to some mongers, is a real life sometimes stalker and vigilante activist (used to indicated that he would surveil and watch doors of AMPs, to identify mongers and autos and license plates, and threaten to disclose people). I never had issues with Purple, and actually ran into him a couple of times in the sitting area at 905 when his girlfriend, then wife, worked there. He was also very polite in pm's years ago when seeking support for his causes.

Grogin et el: very likely not real, mixes actual with a lot of comical taunting and 180 degree perspectives about mongering, to solicit a reaction for yucks.

Oldtimerma and his other user names (bringing him up because, a different monger let me know that oldtimerma very recently incorrectly and inaccurately called me out within this thread) is just a pathetic lost cause: is sadly a real someone who thinks of himself as a KnowItAll about all users and posting on this site, is uneducated with a negligible IQ, and thinks he knows everyone who is on the site, and consistently demonstrates his pathetic inability to connect the dots (and, to not connect the dots) to correlate fact from fiction. I do not recall ever having any interaction or cross postings with him under that user name.

Me: As many of you may recall, A2 referred to me as a little girl. Rightfully so at that time about a year and a quarter ago.

A great thing about the site is, just like people can do with my user name, and I do with oldtimerma, you can block a user name so you can ignore their posts and pm attempts.

Re-read mowest of the posts from both and there are many clues to uncover and my conclusion is it's quite clear that Grogrin is a south shore, minority, lower-class, proud ebonic-speaking, very frugal type guy with an argumentative attitude, who wants to and feels he is able to change monger economy almost like a mission. While Purple was more of a older, Waltham / metro west, middle class white guy who married a Chinese AMP worker (probably due to loneliness and free sex,) who isn't cheap, doesn't care who pays what or why they do, not desperate, live and let live attitude, probably better educated, closer to middle or upper middle class, friendlier or at least "neutral" writing tone, far less argumentative, and more of a "glass half-full" type-guy. Far more sane than Grogrin. If I had to choose to be one or the other, I'd far more want to live Purple's lifestyle. Who knows what perks he received and still does for marrying and getting a green card for an amp worker, while Grogrin seems like getting a twenty dollar bj on dot ave is such an imposition and dent in his day to day spending budget and loser lifestyle. And he begrudgingly spends just 40 on whatever tip he has ever given at an amp, and is repeatedly highly vocal of how much that hurts his wallet and why the rest of us should stop hurting the price expectation, so that he can continue to (barely) afford some mongering. If you read Purple's posts, he just seems to have connections or is a good negotiator/planner and gets reasonably priced opportunities here and there, but also splurges when he wants to, all while never complaining, just going with the flow. Purple doesn't seem to be on any price mission, but just enjoys what he gets and happily takes nice opportunities as they occur.I am actually a bit impressed with Purple's lifestyle. It also seems some of you may be a bit jealous as well. Key words being some and a bit.
