I agree w/ you, NC. A ban ought to be up to the owner of an establishment. That way, the free market --- not a bunch of pointy-headed bureaucrats or wild-eyed anti-smoking Stalinists --- will decide whether the clients want a smoke-free environment or will patronize one where smoking is allowed. In other words, an owner will quickly find out if his patrons are more likely to visit if smoking is allowed or if smoking is banned.

Personally, I do not smoke and never have. I don't like for cigarette smoke, but will tolerate it if I want to be in an environment where it occurs. That said, if a place allows smoking and I don't feel like being around a lot of cigarette smoke nor want it clinging to my clothes afterward, I will simply visit another establishment. I refuse to impose my morals on someone else who may enjoy having a cigarette to accompany his meal, drink, or girl.

As for the girls in Waikiki and elsewhere in that island paradise (or reasonable substitute on this earthly realm), you all have some of the hottest selections I've seen: Thai, Chinese, Korean, Viet, Lao, and even the occasional Euro, black, and white. It's great here in DC-Maryland-Virginia, but you all ain't got it bad either.

[Full disclosure: I'm located stateside but visit Waikiki often enough. When there, I enjoy visiting various clubs and the like. This ban will, I believe, have a dampening effect on all of the nighttime establishments. On my next visit, I intend to sign all petitions to have that Stalinist ban repealed/removed.]

I loath this ban. It's December now and almost everywhere enforces it almost all the time. I signed the petition at Romantei that wants it repealed. I heard quite a few other places have it to. At least it saves me money because I want to go out less, and spend less because I'm outside more, but it's no fun.

I have sat with Laura about 2 months back. I was stopping by Misty one afternoon to see if Rose was working but she was not. On the way out a noticed a cutie outside of the cache door so i said what the hell. I had never been to cache before thinking that it was full of older women.
