You are one of the very best sharers of info on this Boston site, especially in the Waltham and Watertown theater of operations. You would never even make it to any list of snitches. Don't know why that guy would have been pickin on you. You already repeated exactly all that you had asked about, which was pretty basic.

We won't be back to the normal we were accustomed to for at least a year (or 2 or 3). We need an effective vaccine for 330 million people and perhaps 2 doses each, or highly effective therapeutics in mass quantities. The American people are getting impatient, but the virus isn't. We can re-open things. The question is how large an increase in cases and deaths will we tolerate? A 10% jump seems tolerable. Surpassing our worst days may result in another shutdown. We appear to be nowhere near the end. We'll have a flu season during the winter. Let's hope it's not historically severe.

Obviously you have done zero research at all on infectious disease / virus and the protocols on how to handle them.

Have not looked at any real numbers, learned about this virus at all. Can see you are panic stricken and afraid with your post.

You do know there has never been a vaccine for a respiratory Corona virus, ever!

Now we are supposed to believe there will be a real, safe, effective vaccine in just mere months.

I agree it will take a while. I do think people have overreacted though. If you look at the MA covid dashboard, it shows that the average age of death is 82 and 98% of those deaths had an underlying health condition. The average age of hospitalization is 68 and those also have an underlying health condition. It seems to me that for the typical person no lockdown is needed. Efforts should be focused on the elderly.

Oh well, I guess people are OK with the economic slowdown. It will cause a demand contraction in 2021 which will impact mostly white collar jobs. I wonder if people would still want the lockdown if they are told they will lose their job next year?

Right now, the cops only seem to react to complaints. I had the misfortune of being in one when the city inspector showed up to check their license. The masseuse came back and said that they had given her 2 days to prove that she had a license. A month later, they had replaced both girls. This is what changed by Evers https://www.jsonline.com/story/commu...n/4273083002/. so now, towns will be able to shut down a place immediately instead of giving them time to get their paperwork, which usually just resulted in the AMPs changing girls but not practices, which limited the ability to arrest people. Now, if a town wants, they can pass an ordinance to immediate shut down any place that can't immediately show a valid license. Which means instead of a single state law, every town may adopt their own rules. I would definitely learn the rulkes in whatever town you visit an AMP in.

Quick to argue? Attached is a news story with the new law from Nov. 2019 that I referenced. Also, when did I say the ONLY thing they must do is pass a test. A written test is included and sometimes someone else will take it for them. That is what I said. Nowhere in my post does it imply that passing a test is all it takes to get licensed. Evers signed into law that all massage providers must be licensed back in February. I know in some places police did some sweeps and started enforcing it (Green Bay for sure). IL has the same law in effect for some time. That is why when there is a massage parlor bust, one woman is cited for prostitution but three others are nailed for practicing massage without a license. I think the ladies will have their certified and fluent with English friends take the test for them.
