Absolutely. I've experienced that as well. The problem is with a lot of these disorders such as BPD or extreme Narcissism the person can be very charming and initially hide their symtoms. Unless you've had experience with it you won't see the red flags until its too late. Its part of their M. O. To hide those aspects of themselves when they first meet someone.
