I use Burner Apps. I use Samsung galaxy s9 (only reason not switching my phone because s10 doesnot have the same future) and it has an option to run a secure folder more like a separate OS. I use a dual sim phone. An android lg phone that supports two sims.

First sim is my regular phone. 2nd from my burner trac phone.

What I like is I can just disable the 2nd sim when not in use. No need to worry about incoming calls, texts and voicemails.

What I don't like. I have to be particular when dialing out as not to use my number.

Call history is on the phone / texts etc need to be manually deleted.

Not the best solution but it works for me.
