It is heartbreaking to share with you that Monica Murno, a long time member of this Central Florida forum, has passed-away. She died under mysterious circumstances on September 28,2019; she was last seen getting into a white pick-up truck at S. Robinson and 43rd in Oklahoma City's red light district. When she did not return, she was reported missing by other working girls. Her body was found on a hillside field at the end of a cul-de-sac at S. Robinson and 32nd, two days later, on her 29th birthday. Due to decomposition, the cause of death was listed as undetermined. Police were unable or unwilling to pursue the investigation, believing it was drug related and / or because of her profession. Although later, the medical examiner's report did not find the presence of drugs. A memorial service was held in her home town of Greenville, SC.

She became pregnant in 2018 and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl she named Mckenzie. Monica was a good single mother, took care of her precious little one, and swore off any type of drugs or alcohol. Her baby girl, was taken in as a ward of the State of Oklahoma, though her family in South Carolina was reported to be seeking custody. I don't know where that stands, but I am sure it is complicated.

I had seen them both in Orlando just 3 weeks before this happened. Since I hadn't heard from her since then, I thought maybe she had settled down with someone. I always considered her to be very street smart; so when I stumbled upon this news, it was truly shocking and heart wrenching.
