Posts: 3001Who wants to go through all of that just to go inside a damn strip club I mean people not going to be bothered with it too much of a hassle to everyone. I say this the strip club scene probably will never recover from this Coronavirus pandemic.

Actually, being in the medical industry that kind of testing and set up is QUITE expensive also there is not a "few minute" testing kit that is available with actual accurate results. Also, from a business standpoint it would be a loss for them to have all that equipment / test kit when they cost about 120 $ a pop for a 10 $ head admission fee? That's a -110 $ they would have to go on. The fastest test kits right now are 45 minutes and it requires you to have a PCR machine that can churn those results those machines alot are 5 k-10 k.

Posts: 1156Bars to remain shut until end of May
Gov Kemp declared today that bars and nightclubs will remain closed until the end of May, unless he extends it again.
Bummer!

Posts: 114If Follies reverses the polarity on the big metal detector and gets the right flux capacitor it can be used to detect coronavirus, right? Or maybe let the dancers help screen customers. Maybe semen tastes different if you are infected. Then again, after that test no need to go inside.

If strip clubs (or any other public places of business) are equipped with testing that provides immediate and reliable test results then businesses can reopen safely and responsibly. Using Follies as an example, a test administrator (perhaps in a hazmat suit) in the Follies parking lot gives you a test while you are still parked in your vehicle. You're only allowed to exit your vehicle and pay admission to Follies if your test comes back negative. If positive, you must exit the parking lot.

Without a continuous testing framework then reopening seems like an enormous gamble.
A company called Abbott has been and still is producing exactly this type of testing kit at scale. What's shocking to me is that there is no federal mandate that funds and deploys continuous testing. This solution seems like a silver bullet in terms of curbing the spread, saving lives, boosting consumer confidence, and speeding up economic recovery while we wait for a vaccine. The only real downside to this approach is that it will take longer to get inside a place of business.

Posts: 3001Na I doubt guys will be line up outside the strip clubs once they open if anything they will have to follow certain guidelines as far as social distance like allowing a certain amount of people in at one time and some of those Strip Clubs won't even open back up so will see how it goes.

I've never gone the AMP / escort route; negatives (ie legal) always seemed too high. Having recently moved to the area, I've found Follies to be an excellent and unique time.

There's just too little control over points of contact (people all around, multiple women getting right up in your face to talk) to make it worthwhile. An escort, on the other hand, now seems much more manageable in terms of making sure things are safe as long as certain basics (I. E. NO kissing; CDC says virus is passed on by saliva) are followed. Having never done that, not sure how it will go, though this forum helps.
For you younger guys, have fun. It was a nice ride while it lasted.

Posts: 448I don't think most of the guys would care at this point. There's so many blue balls out there, I'd bet there's going to be a line out of every club once opening day comes around.

Posts: 207Or they could just require dancers and patrons to wear N95 certified face masks and gloves and put hand sanitizer on all the tables.
