My 10 year old flip phone just won't die. I keep hoping. Actually, I have gotten pretty fast texting with the number pad but, yeah, the only way I can see emojis is to forward them to my iPhone. Kinda pain, but, as I said, the damn thing just won't die.

Anyway, if you need a real phone that doesn't know who you are, TracFone is the only way to go. I'm pretty sure you can use your other phone and can take the number with you.

Well my old trusted friend the Kyrocera S1300 on Virgin prepaid may have gone the way of the dodo. Sure it was a numeric keypad with the screen the size of a saltine and was a pain in the ass to text on and in fact it was so old that emojis wouldn't come through. However it was purchased with cash assigned to a bogus name but was a "real" number so new acquaintances would be spooked by a google number. Boost Mobil purchased virgin prepaid accounts last month and now my balance and top off features no longer work. Bummer my old wingman has who has assisted me getting laid for the past ten years may not be able to get more minutes. Now I'm at cross roads. I have an old note 6 that I can convert to my new monger phone but don't know who service to use that will let me set up an account without revealing info about myself. Any thoughts on service providers (cell not pussy) or iOS apps that could achieve my communications needs while remaining anonymous? Many thanks for your assistance.

I bought a TracFone from Walmart a couple years back, I think the price was something like $70. I buy cards every month or so, they've got a bunch of different plans available as far as how many texts can be sent, the amount of date, etc. I pay cash for everything and you can set the phone up with whatever information you desire, including the "bogus name" you mentioned. And yes, it's a "real" number. Personally, I prefer the burner phone over an app on my personal phone. With an app on my personal phone, I'd be worried about the SO having my phone and coming across the app. I'd also be concerned about data sharing, contacts from my "personal" apps coming over to the "hobby" apps, for example.

There is a link on her Instagram page to a Go Fund Me page to help with funeral expenses. Looks like her son had initiated the page. His note about her was very sad- she clearly had some difficult issues. Be safe and look out for each other.
