In a state other than New York, there is a very high probability that the person in the profile is a scammer. It's as if they don't know enough geography, to pick a real city name.

I agree that is the case for 95 percent of those ads. I have ran into a couple girls over the years that for whatever reason didn't list their city perhaps for additional anonymity.

Also, don't ever use your real phone number. Use a burner phone or google voice or something. People can easily find info on you with your phone number.
