Illegal in Las Vegas, Clark county. Legal brothels in rural counties regulated and taxed. High price points keep riff raff out. The controlled environment makes a safer but fairly expensive setting.

Before the Covid, I was a frequent traveler to Greece. Prostitution is legal in certain areas, the red light districts felt very safe. There were police every block. There being a prostitute is a career. Here it is mainly used to support drug habits. The girls in Greece are regulated with no real problem I could see.

Posts: 732Agreed. I just think trying to regulate would be a problem for them, plus, far too many liberal minded self-righteous busy bodies who would fight tooth and nail to keep it illegal.

Posts: 732How does Amsterdam do it? How does Las Vegas do it? How do any other countries that legalize prostitution avoid the violence, drugs and robberies?

Posts: 259Like legalizing marijuana, Just think of the tax revenue prostitution would generate for the communities instead of draining money from them, calling things sex trafficking when they're nothing but prostitution. Warren and their two large stings are good for that. The one girl I know that was on the first one that got busted in it, was out of jail within a few days. Just a big media hype to try to prove their worth to the community. I'm all for the legalization of prostitution for consenting adults.

Posts: 190Highly doubt taxing is at all a concern for what prostitution brings to cities. Violence, drugs, robberies.

Posts: 732Prostitution is the willingness to sell sex while trafficking is forcing one to sell sex. LE love to use them as the same when to uphold their case, but they are not. I completely understand sex trafficking law but a willing participant who sells shouldn't be illegal. Big daddy is only pissed off because the don't know how to collect revenue from it.

Well prostitution is a respectable profession when a nice woman fucks a guy for money, e. G. Melania Trump. Sex trafficking is when a Croatian gangster kidnaps your 14 year old daughter, sends her to Bangkok and chains her to a sewer pipe and injects her with heroin. The former is fairly common and the latter is common only in the imagination of legislators and newspaper publishers.

Posts: 259I would say prostitution is when a woman pays for her own room and controls her own schedule of coming and goings, and sex trafficking is when a third party provides the room and controls the people coming and gone, and / or also shows up the door and collects the money before any time starts with that provider. The hotel truly knew what was going on and it sounds like one or more employees were hushed by the manager. You never know when meeting these providers at these hotels that the police are watching the entries and exits and become documented and become a part of an arrest. Just by dropping a provider off at a house in Allen Park one time, got me called in by the Allen Park Police as a crime happened at the house and a neighbor seen my vehicle dropping her off and recorded my information and tag. I do have to say that the Allen Park detectives are idiots when I went in to be questioned by them just for dropping off a provider, and then try to lecture me about being in association with these providers. They wanted to search the vehicle that I dropped her off in, I didn't take that vehicle with me for the interview just for that purpose and they didn't have enough to get a warrant to search it without my permission. End of story, I heard nothing more but it could have been something worse.

I would assume most of the clubs are real slow due to the Corona pandemic? Any confirmations?
