They have been becoming more common on stg.

They are spam bots, they're looking for as much info as they can get.

People are doing it, that's why those ads are so popular.

You obviously will send an email, thus, providing them with an email address. They will send you a fake message from someone claiming they want to meet you but you have to click on a link to verify you for her safety. Yes, it's a scam using your CC but saying you won't be billed, it's just to verify you're real, as if a CC confirms real. But we all know, or should, once they have the CC number, it's game on for them. If you don't respond, they will continue to hound you until you finally block or put in spam.
