True, turd percentages of the whole, but one death from the Chinese-born plague in this country is too much and we're setting new records. If even that one death was from your family, would you be proud that it originated from a stank, wet market in China? Hometown Chinese, open-air markets are filthy as hell. Same goes for other Asian countries. Korea, for example, had some really dirty markets in Seoul, Daegu, Inchon and Busan as late as 2005. They've done a good job of improving things, and Korea is much more advanced than China.

That said, it's one thing to consume "food" that is weird to us, yet it doesn't matter as long as it's clean. It's quite another that those foreign markets operate in such dirty conditions so as to foster breeding grounds for viruses and shit not yet defined that can infest the world.

I truly wish that the world powers would secretly impose sanctions or other actions that would have serious economic effects on China for the next 500 years. They deserve it.
