I cannot help but think of the long-term effects this pandemic may have on the strip club economy. It's not far-fetched in my mind that the industry could die.

From a consumer perspective, it's hard to imagine strip clubs recovering faster than its consumer base's ability to replenish disposable income. Which may happen long after clubs reopen, assuming some don't collapse before they can reopen. From a talent perspective, I'd expect many will get forced out if the upside significantly shrinks due to a much smaller money pool. From an owner perspective, this also means less revenue through cover charges, taxing dancers, and alcohol sales. Do the margins become thin enough to force many of these clubs to close?

If the larger economy isn't fully reopened until, say, the start of Fall, then maybe that recovery period (e. G. Folks catching up on back-rent, finding a new job because they were let go, etc.) bleeds into early next year. I just don't see how this industry which I assume receives no form of bailouts whatsoever survives what could be a 6-8 month lull in activity.

I'm likely missing something in this equation. Am I nuts here? Am I over-thinking this?

So the Governor extended Stay at Home orders until end of May so I guess the Strip Club will stay close all of April and May boy these dancers about to start hurting if they already have.

I've gone into lockdown (they are ALL texting me BTW) because I agree with Ozy this will rip through the sex worker community like a hurricane. I'm assuming essentially 100% infection rate. FWIW, I think eventually at least 70-80 percent of the U.S. population will become infected with the Corona virus. I'm working on the assumption that I'm going to catch it at some point. I just hope my symptoms won't be severe since I have NO underlying issues such as high blood-pressure, diabetes, heart disease or other respiratory issues.

The sex work and club community is very tightly knit, AND mostly ignorant, so it will spread like wildfire through it. Don't fall for the offered deals! No one should be that thirsty.

This is a good time to hunker down and acquire some job skills. Take online courses, watch Coursera lectures, whatever. Come out ready to upgrade economically, and you can buy more and better pussy on the other side of this.
