Maybe its me but I thought the point was not to pay anything up front or do so at your own risk because chances are you will get beat. Not that they ghosted you because we've all been ghosted but you gave a deposit then they ghosted you.

No, that only happened once to me with a provider in another city. In my most recent post, I was answering the question of who in Richmond was attempting to get money upfront but doesn't mention that until you get to their location. As an example, with the white Nunu, I drove out to her hotel with cash. When I got there, I got the standard follow up text to go to the second floor. When I got to the second floor, she asked if I was going to pay with PayPal, Venmo, or Cashapp. I said cash, but she said she wouldn't take that because "police use cash to solicit. " She refused to even open the door or anything until I paid in advance, even though I told her I was right outside her door with cash, which her ad said was acceptable. I finally just gave up and left without sending any money because I knew nothing would happen at that point.

Other providers have used other excuses for not taking cash, e. G. They got robbed before, they have to pay someone else for protection immediately using one of those apps, etc. The point is that more and more of them are not disclosing their resistance to cash until you arrive at their supposed location, even if their ad says that cash is accepted.
