I stopped by last Wednesday. Joyce is working and managing traffic on her own. Apparently I wasn't the only person out because the door and phone kept ringing. Joyce is in good spirits, she's staying nearby and trying to make sure her mom is taken care of back in queens.

So yesterday I was bored and texted a dozen numbers from cityxguide. To day morning I woke up to a texts from this random number. It said my first name in the first text. (accurate) My address in the second text. (not accurate) and a bunch of violent pictures. Also had a few missed calls from this number. My best guess would be that they wanted money for something.

I found my name easily using my number on truecaller. (unlisted it asap). My name was saved by someone with my old organizations name. Searched that on google came across semi accurate linkedin results (they were at the bottom but were there on the first page). Made my profile private asap.

How often does this kinda thing happen to you guys? How do you deal with the fact that a lot of information can be accessed using your phone number?

I don't use my real phone number. I use free call and text apps and a pre paid cell phone.

Its my mistake. Call it carelessness or newbieness or just plain old dumb. How do you get one?

Never use your real name & number for anything, I have to emails / name / numer for mongering non of which are tied to me.

Why do I see so many places still posting their ads but when you try and call it either goes straight to voicemail or no one picks up. Anyone knows are there any spots still open on the low? Or is everything seemed to be shut down.

Advertising 101. You keep the ad posted with a note tou are close so you remember who they are, so you go or call when the crisis is over.

Can someone point to a time when saying "benji"jacksons", " 4", or "140 roses" ever saved them from LEO? I assume peeps are paying for time (not anything else) *wink* so what's the real point?

I would say never LOL. It always felt weird to me writing in code like that I've seen users come up with hilarious stuff like mario coins or sonic rings when referring to money. My favorite is when they go all martin luther king and refer to their sessions as dreams hahahaha.

LOL I agree! I've been in this site since 2005 and I remember dudes being serious about it back then. Now, not so much. So it seems to me a relic from back in those days. Just like now, kats don't say Uncle LEO. They says boys or 5-0.

But back in the day the boys werent in here so much. Now, who knows, they could be posing as a monger. Point is if they are going to get you, what you type here isn't going to mean diddly squat, so fuc% it and say the correct amount. I go to the puta spots in Queens and pay 40. My goal at 98 would be not to go over 60. Screw the $$ and ¢ signs. LOL.
