I can't help but think that maybe you were double-booked. With some providers this is a common strategy they use to compensate for no-shows. Yeah, it's kind of shitty, but so is booking some time with a provider amd standing her up. I'm not defending her at all, but I think there must be a better way to deal with that problem. I only know this because it was a real issue I constantly dealt with during my (business-related) involuntary exile in Augusta, GA.

For me, the trick is to find a rotation of at least 3 good providers you KNOW to be legit and have good relations with. That's how I survived the monger wasteland known as Augusta. Now that I'm back home I am now working on my rotation for here. You have to put up with some trial-and-error but, once you find your stable of "reliables" you won't likely have that trouble again. As an added bonus, they get to know you as one of their regulars so you're even less likely to get ghosted - and you'll get even better service to boot.

A regular rotation is far from the problem it's just looking for that different flavor to break things up that there ever becomes an issue. The stable just needs to be a bit bigger as a few great ones have fallen off the roster recently.
