I actually gave her a chance for business with that. But I suspect she did not like my request very much, although her reply was pleasant.

But you'd be stupid not to try and negotiate a lower price, especially in these times. And not all providers will give you a bad session even after you ask for a discount.

Also, yes, low balling a provider is not wise. But my request was not really "low balling", per se. And yes, there is enough variety to go around.
