We are not perfect and every situation is not 100% applicable but generally speaking the advice given in the newbie thread is ignored at your own peril. Many of us have hobbied for a long long time and have seen and heard a lot over the years. Trends come and go but deposits seem to be 99% scams. Zara Brooks is the only exception I can recall in many years. I won't pay her deposit mind you. But several others report they did and got service.
