I think it will be a bit more than three weeks, as you have to account for people who were infected on day 1 of the lockdown, and also for incidental infection that occurs during the lockdown as people go shopping, visit their doctor, etc. Probably more like 4-6 weeks. The big problem is going to be people who think it's a hoax, young people who think they are immune, and others who just don't care or understand the risk. Incomplete enforcement / following of the lockdown could let this thing slide on for weeks or months. I hope that is not the case, but we should be prepared for it.

First off, I am pretty sure I had this covid 19 earlier this year. I get flus alot, like at least 3 times a year. This one was different in that I was really the fuck congested and for a full day, I really was not able to breathe well standing up. I did try a good home remedy, which is to take two ounce of sweet wine (the best one for this is the jewish kosher wine, manishewitz) boil it and drink it hot. Cleared me up for a few hours and I was fine the next day, but that one day, I was down for the count.

The idea of shutting the US down, which is coming in about 5-7 days is a joke. The idea is to level off the spike so that the contagion slows either so that the system can handle the load or that a virus is ready. Bullshit. If people have diabetes COPD obese, well, that is their problem.

I think Public Health agencies have in effect created mass hysteria in order to achieve their goal of "flattening the curve" to prevent a spike of infection.
