I don't know about you all, but I'm inclined to avoid meeting up with any friends right now. I don't need the hassle of explaining how and why I happened to be in touch with someone half my age, thank you very much. (Not that my opsec should be that vulnerable to the CDC.). Downturn and more precisely the expectation of what may be coming over the next few months doesn't help.

That said, for those of you who have your acorns stored away and are single, this could be a banner time coming up to be a SD. Particularly with business travel and conferences being whittled down and cutting out the one-night stand SDs willing to put down a little more to get a sure thing when they are in town. Unfortunately a number of scams I ran into I report and all of the communication disappeared but here are some I was able to locate. Some might be deactivated already, but I blocked most of them.

Profile Names only.

Scams by selling pics, asking for money or something shady.

Naughtybabygirllllxo.

CCwhite98.

Cutestudent11.

Ghosts Lots of time talking and planning and drop off the map the day of the date, sometimes as they said they were leaving. Ridiculous.

She stated that her time on SA has been OK, but her last SD was so busy he was only able to meet up once and a while and all they did was hook up. We set up a date for the following week and I told her that I'd try to see her for more than hookups. But before that day came we texted and she prefers ppm (presumably any meet) and asked if 500 was doable. I declined; a little rich for my blood, but maybe one of ya'll want to give her a shot.

Yes, there are ebbs and flows of the student population, but one of the biggest seasonal effects on the overall population is Christmas. For those paying cash for gifts, they need the money up front. Look for spikes in activity and willingness to negotiate from December 15 to Christmas. For those who pay by credit card, the bills are usually due to be paid in January. That coincides with New Years resolutions. Look for spikes then as well.

So I've only been on seeking since October, and I've had a good amount of success, while running into some of the usual scams.

Girl who is in distress and needs money ASAP to pay a bill or get their car fixed.

Girl who says she can only know you are serious if you send her money before meeting.

Girl who plays up that she wants an arrangement and you talk for a while and when you are finally getting together and she is taking an Uber over she asks for you to send her money for the Uber cause she is broke. She won't accept an Uber to pick her up (dead giveaway is when she says my friends warned me not to do this bc of all the girls kidnapped from Uber. News never made public and how can I force Uber to do something outside of pickup and drop off).

I'll be honest and say early on and more times I care to admit, I've fallen for this or thought this time is different bc this girl and I have been talking for days and she shared all this personal info and mad pics, so why would she waste all of that time for $10, $20, etc.

It's got to be generational that a girl will waste hours of time and share a lot for personal info, just for a few bucks, when they were about to get hundreds of dollars.

Obviously, this will continue to happen, but I think we can work on thinning out the scammers if everyone reports each and every scam they encounter.

I believe it's against Seeking policy to sell content and I think they frown upon online only, so take a pic of your convo where the girl introduces the scam pitch and report them. Since the profile is blocked when I report it, I don't know how many or how often my reporting leads to a blocked user, but hopefully it doesn't take much. If 2-3 of us report a user it is bound to work.

Losing money is a pain in the ass, but the amount of time I've spent talking to these girls (and don't get me started on the ones that ghost after tons of back and forth messages) is insane. Although I do think the girls who ghost without explanation are also scams who catch on (or maybe feel guilty) and know they won't get money out of you.
