I got to complacent. Been seeing Miranda for a little while. Everything was going good, then I got too comfortable and I broke the cardinal rule. I was faced with an attempted robbery situation with a provider several years ago and I immediately reversed the situation and strong armed the boy friend. A well placed chop to the troat, a knee in the balls and a jab in the kidneys sent him to the floor wimppering. He had no idea what had just happened to him, he was totally caught off gard. I am not a big guy nor am I a young man but swift decisive action using good physical protection tactics saved my ass in that situation. I grabbed her and slammed her into a wall and told her that "if I ever saw either one of them again I would kill both of them" she literally peeded her pants in her moment of terror. I was definitely carrrying a concealed weapon (380. With deadly rounds) but the last thing I would have done was to have presented it in this situation. I totally agree with your last paragraph. A fire arm should only be presented or used if you have no reasonable means of escape and your life is eminent danger.
