It is tragic when any life is lost and I don't want to appear indifferent, but I can't help but roll my eyes at the bullshit. We trick these women out for cheap, sexual thrills knowing good and well it is addiction to drugs that motivates them and their willingness to sell themselves to strangers. We know our money is being used to feed these addictions and can lead to untimely demise, whether overdose or illness exacerbated by the drug use. We help feed the addiction, knowing it can kill them. Then come on these boards with a bunch of RIP, boo-hoo bullshit when the inevitable happens. I challenge my fellow mongers to please save the bullshit.

I have had family members on drugs. When they ask for $$, I say no because I know what they want it for and I care about them. I have a college buddy who developed a drinking problem later in life after graduation. When I catch up with him, I don't drink. Because I care about him. I have a friend who has a mild gambling problem, I don't friendly wager with him because it triggers him. And I care about him.

If you really gave a shit about these girls, you wouldn't help feed the addiction. Period. So all this RIP bullshit comes off as phony and for show. Yes, you may recognize they are good people over time while tricking them out, but if you really cared, you would put your desire for a cheap nut aside and stop contributing to their demise. If I'm understanding the angle you're coming from, I'd say point well made.

For this reason, I'm also somewhat reserved when it comes to expressing personal emotions regarding the overall well being of these SWs, since ultimately as you pointed out, we all know by seeing them we're enabling them to do what they're going to do.

On the other hand, I can also rationalize why it makes sense to see folks posts condolences messages too. At the end of the day, we're all social creatures and whether we want to admit it or not, we can mentally get attached to these girls. It's not after they're gone that you realize you valued who they were. This goes with everything else in life.

I just got back from visiting Aruba with 15 family members. I've been going there every 2-4 years for the last 25 years and this is the first time I noticed working girls at all the major casinos. I remember going to one of my favorite nightclubs in Baltimore off of Guildford Avenue next to a diner. I was such a young and energetic boy; very naive in what the future will bring me. People are allowed to see who they want to see, preferences aren't racism. I know that's not the accepted definition anymore but it's still the truth.
