Take it from a guy who's tangled with the police on more than one occasion. A person who talks to a cop without being aware of the of the dangers will soon find out the hard way. First off they are experts at setting you up saying this is off the record or you won't be charged if you cooperate. Let me tell you this everything they tell you will be a lie. No where in their report will they mention they made a deal with you to put in a good word with the D. A. Or judge. 100% lies to get you to talk and incriminate yourself by confessing. It's their job to lie their ass off to you! You have the right to remain silent USE IT! You do not have to talk to the police other than identify yourself. REMEMBER THAT! Ask if your under arrest or being detained if not nicely tell them your leaving.
