So, can anyone explain to me, why would marijuana make certain people paranoid?. I had a scary experience trying some that I got from a friend. Maybe the dose was too strong. To keep it short, I went down some rabbit holes I don't wish to visit ever again!. I found myself walking Dudley Street at 2 AM paranoid, thinking someone was out to get me with a large meat cleaver!(no bullshit). What strains are extremely strong and which ones aren't?. I would love an expert analysis on this, Thanks guys!.

P.S. I think one of my issues is I think too much. Could that have triggered the paranoia or whatever it was??.

You smoked a strain that had a high % of Sativa. Indica strains give you couch lock.

Indica comes from Afghanistan / Nepal region and flower quickly 8 weeks.

While Sativa strains originate near the equator in jungle regions and take forever to flower. They can make you paranoid, heart racing, doesn't make you tired at all.
