For me, it was more just doing something different. But there is a tease factor that builds anticipation. As you mentioned, you can't really touch her. I was able to reach a few body parts that she offered up in kind of a game. I found myself leaning over and reaching around the table for better access but she would playfully smack my hand and say I was cheating. I could also somewhat see through the face hole. But the tease was a part of that too.
