Most have a host of "regular" that will keep them afloat for a while, then many are proactive in that they will text regulars or prospective customers whose number they have obtained / save. Ho's not going to starve, they might have to cut back on their habit for a bit, slots, etc.

They have been hit with several DDOS attacks in the last 6 months. I've seen this a few times.
