I was a member for years. It can get expensive paying membership, but if you submit reviews you get "credit" if you will and can have full access. And there were reviews / comments for providers out of the country.

I wasn't aware of any screening beyond legal issues or specific issues of identification that would harm either provider or monger, but did know that the providers could counter bad reviews. And each provider was assigned a number which she could use to direct her to her reviews.

The one negative for me was that reviews had to include a link to the provider's post. Some posts were inactive, and it excluded some fine UTR, SW or options looking to expand business by reference only.

There is a specific Q&A method to the review process in addition to the written review which was nice. If offered a better overview of what was really available without having to ask specific questions. Thus you could set up a date without discussion of specific acts and donations. Especially if there were multiple reviews. This reduced any text trail for those concerned about that.

Right or wrong, I always felt that if other mongers and myself were paying a fee for full access, that our reviews were more legit. There were less reviews posted to get even with a provider whose service was good / great but didn't consent to a specific service or to coerce service at a reduced price. Negotiate donations or move on, but threatening a bogus bad review was unacceptable and just circulated false info.

I was surprised after being down so long that my account was there, just inactive.
