NEVER Prepay. NEVER. That's THE rule. I'd personally never pay with a gift card, even in person; And I knew a guy that was abs uncompromising about paying BEFORE services were rendered--he would show the pmt and re-pocket it--and still does TURN AND WALK from the meet if they insist on 'pay up front'. That may be extreme, but I respect his approach.

I played with one for a couple hours through texts. They wanted me to buy them a Mountain Dew fountain drink and a gift card and put the donation on the card. Then drive to a local hotel that they probably found on google. When I get to the parking lot with all the items text them back. I texted them and before they give me the room # . I have to tell them the gift card number and a picture of the pin # on the receipt. I sent them the card number and a picture of a Receipt. Picture of the receipt I found was on the Internet that was five years old. A few minutes later the scammer texted me saying the receipt is old. I replied with " So is this scam " . LOL I wonder how many guys get suckered into this. Especially the ones that are asking for a deposit to make a appointment. Forget that, don't care if they say it's for gas. Lie.

Well I have never left my house, but have asked both why the people that answered the door don't know them. And then it is excuse after excuse. And scratch the card so they can confirm their payment first. Yeah ok. Thats not happening. But have continued to drag it out with one for almost 2 hours with me supposedly parked out front.
