I typically carry about 10000 THB in cash around with me (around $330) but rarely spend that much. Most days in Bangkok I will spend about 5000 THB or so. If I'm drinking heavily it can be more, if I'm going after girls at the gogo bars or going to a soapy, it will be more. Other days, let's say, in Pattaya, I'm not doing much of anything at all and end up spending 3000 THB the entire day, for food, transportation, massage, and a freelancer. My friend who I have went with a few times was fine with 4000 THB in his pocket each day, including massages and horizontal entertainment.

Thailand is a great place since there are a lot of options for mongers at all budgets. I know people who have no issue staying in a decent hotel for $30 a night and getting the cheapest freelancers they can find, but I know that my personal preferences have me at about $300 a day, most of that is spent on hotel since I like staying in suites at nicer hotels.

I carry a copy of my passport (I have a card size print that I have laminated, when I get to the hotel I have them make a copy of the stamp from immigration) with me at all times, since I have been stopped before by the police for identification. I leave the actual passport and IDs back in the safe of the hotel. Prior to getting stopped, I never used to carry it at all, but it isn't a big deal for me to carry around the copies. I know some guys who never carry it with them, but legally you are supposed to have it. If I wasn't driving in Bangkok and Pattaya, I probably would have never gotten carded, ever. IDL by itself wasn't good enough at a checkpoint. They wanted to see the passport along with it. I got let go with a slap on the wrist that time, but after that, police never had issues with the photocopy (with the stamp) and my IDL.

I was there less than a month ago. Yes, there are some distinct exceptions. Tulip, the granddaddy of AMPs, and Snow White, which is run by a sister of Tulip, have always had older veterans. They used to have some younger providers occasionally, but now they are few and far between. These two shops run on the same model as Kison and Happiness. They stress sextreme services, such as excursions to Greece, as many MSOGs as you can and possibly bbfscip, over youth or looks. There are some other shops like Orient that also have mature staff but cheaper prices. The ones on Sukhumvit Soi 22 also tend to have a riper cast.

I've never been to 102 due to its inflated prices. I stopped going to Addict due to deteriorating service and quality.

If you haven't done so, take a stroll down Sukhumvit Soi 24/1. Most of the girls sitting outside their AMPs appear to be in their teens or 20's.

Frequent visitor of SE Asia. Agree that with a good economy for an extended time that older providers are very prevalent in the massage parlors in Bangkok. There are still plenty of providers in 20's to be found in Bangkok, just have to look a little harder. Pattaya seems to have more of a concentration of 20-somethings in bars, especially in the Go Go's.

Yep. HpD needed a "win", after the chief and his crime spree of a wife. Plus when your local PD says they can't pursue misdemeanor crimes like petty theft, car break ins, and non violent crimes in general it leaves a bad impression. So what's easier than a stationary target that advertises their personal information, location, and what crimes they plan on allegedly committing? Can't get any easier and they don't really have to worry about resistance.

Redevelopment might be a factor as well, since all of the new high rises around the massagey places are springing up and they don't exactly help sell apartments.

Agree completely. Crime (especially violent crime) seems to be surging recently as well. Have to get some wins out in the public eye when there are so many shootings recently.
