I do not give the donation up front, I had in the past when I first started mongering, but it gives control to the provider. They change there mind on services or try to get you to pop quick so you leave. If asked for my donation I say yeah I have it, and show them but I don't give it up until I am done. If the don't like it then I say sorry to waste our time and I leave.

I always bring my own, too many providers pull that crap and yes I agree they should have their own. I don't know what its like to be in their shoes, maybe they are irresposible, maybe they forget, maybe they lose them, who knows, but yes you need to always have them. If a carpenter showed up everyday for work without a hammer, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't last long.
