I've had women use that technique before and it worked out great. I'm especially comfortable with large busy lots like a Home Depot or Walmart.

On it's own, it's not a big deal. Nobody knows who you are or what you drive. Once you get there, see what happens and don't provide any identifying info. You can always drive right by the location if you don't like it.
