You say "A few bad apples spoil the bunch". Those are very true words. However, and I am speaking for myself only, I have had MANY more "bad apples" than good ones when it comes to local providers. You put yourself in my shoes for a moment please. Do you know how many times I have scheduled an appt and the provider just goes dark right before our meeting? Or I show up and their pics are 10 years old, they gained 30 lbs or the pics are just completely fake. Or I show up and they have a friend locked in the bathroom which totally ruins the visit! Unfortunately from a business perspective you have just turned off at least half of your clients. And a portion of those are experienced. That means guys who are serious and look for regulars will not deposit because that is a major flag for a rip-off. Yes I understand that you are in a business with many risks and clients who can be unreliable. But that just has to be factored in. Double booking is not going to make anyone happy. Deposits scare off legitimate clients. Good screening and good service are your best tools although imperfect. Some guys will just not show because they were spooked.
