Thank you. I wish I could say I felt smart at the time but it was quite the contrary. I knew I was over a barrel and that it was better to get out of there asap despite believing that these guys didn't have the look of hardcore ass-kickers and that under different circumstances I would have been able to resolve the situation more to my liking. But being in a bad neighborhood at night with no backup, being nude and having just walked past a number of guys that looked more the part and meant that retreat was the best course, even if it meant walking to my car with no shirt, holding my clothes and without shoes. Besides, and as they knew, I didn't want the cops showing up (or an ambluance taking my beat ass to UMC). So I have learned my lesson and will never again see anyone at one of those types of places and I hope this post helps disuade others from doing the same thing and, perhaps, helps provide some guidance as to what is possible if this ever happens to one of you. Finally, it is good to have connections as I did contact someone I know who has some pull / contacts in this town to tell him what had happend to "a friend of mine" and I called-in a favor. As it turns out, those apartments get a fair share of their $ from the state and fed goverment. Subsidies for low income tenants. The last thing they want to do is lose that funding. So. After getting evicted for engaging in the kind of conduct described in my original post she will find it quite difficult (I. E. Impossible) to again secure subsidized housing in this state. Revenge may be a dish served cold, but it is nevertheless very, very sweet.
