I happened to chat with some Russian hacker types the other day (I'm looking for some folks for a cybersecurity project and it's introduced me to some interesting "characters"!), and they were explaining to me how stolen card numbers are sometimes "cashed" using freelancer sites: the fraudster sets up a fake profile, offers a service, and then "buys" the service through fake accounts which are used to register stolen cards. They "pay" themselves, thus siphoning funds off the cards (which then go through cryptocurrency mixers, Monero, etc).

INSTANTLY I though of SA and some of it's rather optimistic pricing schemes: depending on SA's level of card scrutiny, folks might just be using it to cash cards.

You're using your personal google account for that? You can create a fake google account but it's too much trouble to swap back and forth etc. Burner has a nice feature. You can burn the account on a moment's notice and everything is deleted and gone in a second. The option is right there on the main page of the app so you don't have to hunt it down in the settings / menu etc.

Considering that I paid for a separate physical cell phone for the last 15+ years for my playtime, $5/ month is nothing.

Your burner allows you to receive video? That's never worked for me. Pics are fine. But videos always don't even come through or I can't open them. All I see is a random box with the burner logo in the middle. But when I click nothing happens.
