I was at the gas station earlier today in SV and observed LE writing down license plate numbers at Red Roof Inn. I found it strange because LE was not being discrete about it at all. Maybe it's nothing, but be careful.

I'm surprised that they were writing down plates.

Most of the agencies here use a License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera that's scanning and tagging that vehicle's location with GPS in their database.

Ironically enough, a lot of the repossession companies are also using the same systems, and sharing that data with Law Enforcement.

If you're worried about your plate ending up in one of their databases, ask yourself, have you driven near Hawaiian Terrace on Colerain, or, on any of the Main drags in Norwood? If so, they already have your plate in their system.

LEO is just running plates looking for anyone with a warrant. They also check the front desk and run names of the guests staying there. This is why girls with warrants switch motels a lot.
