Very nice time, and I learned that casino security is apparently cracking down HARD, and that is what is driving the activity on Trop. Don't know how reliable info. is from one young girl or if her experience is representative of most/all, but it seems to make sense given the quality that Wastrel mentioned earlier.

They might be cracking down if the girls are clearly young looking and the pimps are making a mess, but really the casinos could care less that there are prostitutes around. I've been to Vegas every month so far this year and this information really conflicts with what I have seen. I went Memorial Day weekend and got hit on by at least 10 hookers walking from Mirage to Barbary Coast at 1am or so....so no way the casinos are cracking down that hard.

Besides with Harrahs and MGM owning half the strip each, if one decided to get rid of cg's, the other would surely welcome them with open arms along with the accompanying traffic they would bring.

I've wondered if they might not have an interest in doing something more worthwhile, but also more time consuming, than clogging up the system with some pissant but still expensive misdemeanor busts of working girls (who'll just have to do some extra work after bailing out) by developing a case on a few overfed curbside "business agents" and their informal commercial enterprises instead. That is, of course, where the money goes, after all. If so, I'd personally wish them the best of luck with that approach to setting priorities on the street.

Well decided to see what all the fuss was about and yep, there was enough to go around for all although I did not partake. Waaaaaayyyy to much heat and attention. There were plenty of brave souls on trop and I did watch from the FatBurger, then from Wild West, then from the bus stop and a casual stroll to Arville and back. All told, about 2½ hours. Saw everything form outright gorgeous black, white, tall, short, blonde..... you get the picture. Saw some amazing stuff, and some I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. MOST, IMHO, are over 18, but I would really question if 2 or 3 that I saw are. Way too risky, and I was on a fact finder, not on a hunt. I saw so many cars with dark tinted windows make 3, 4, and 5 passes that there was no way to tell the players from the playees. But I did enjoy the sights. From experience, I would say MOST are pimped out, and it is WAY to public on that stretch to make a play (regardless of whatever bag of tricks I may or may not have), at least for me (and at my age, I ain't in no rush, the end will get here soon enough, hahaha). Anyway, back to the old haunts near Paradise, Boulder, and Fremont. Some real skags out most nights and not too much new stuff although I did see a cute, white (5'6" and built fairly well and didn't look strung out) SW on Boulder and was gone before I could make the ueee and check it out. Need to get to some of the downtown bars again and check out the latest. Stay safe and be smart.

They have actual see-through windows in their cars and the County even buys gas for them to drive around and look at things and stuff. And in case they forget to look out the window, at least a third of the heavy movers and shakers with serious money and political juice in Nevada drive right up Trop every day, from their offices in and around the resort corridor to their estates up the hill a ways...

I make the over and under at about three weeks from now (a little before the town fills up for the July 4th holiday) so it's now officially -110 to win 100 on whether Metro has completed their inevitable Tropicana streetsweeping operation before or after June 26th, with or without some doors battered down over at the Budget Suites and a few California registered Cadillacs impounded from there.

It's become a ritual streetsweeping operation every Thursday and Friday on Fremont Street to have things cleaned up for the tourist's arrival Friday afternoon.

It starts about 4 pm Thursday with a parade of two black and white squads (10 cars) accompanied by two paddy wagons from the downtown area command down LV Blvd to Fremont. The first paddy wagon parks on this corner while the first squad screens left and right over to Ogden and Bridger in a Southeasterly direction. The second squad heads down Fremont to Bruce where the paddy wagon parks and the black and whites start their screening Northwesterly between Ogden and Bridger.

In the meantime, one squad each of horse mounts, motorized off road bike mounts, and bicycle mounts show up. On a few occasions, they have even dispatched a squad on foot. I truely believe they dedicate half of the downtown manpower to this 24 hour weekly saturation busting operation. If you are walking in the area, and don't fit the profile of a tourist, you're going to be handcuffed and run. Then from 4 pm Friday until 4 am Monday, it's difficult to find a cop in the area, let alone a provider!

Don't take my word for it on that; I don't. Believe what you see and remember. Much of my information on W Trop comes from what I've heard from others. I've never been a frequent flyer on the westside of town, so your recollection is likely to be more accurate than mine.

Really, even if it's not good for much of anything else, as a chokepoint for east-west traffic it's got to be just about the most visible piece of curb in the state, more so than doing it in front of the Bellagio fountain where you could get lost in the crowd of tourists, and it would be relatively more discrete to turn tricks under the Mayor's conference room window.

Here we go with another report. Wow, two in the space of a month. I might get carpal tunnel.

I went with one of the younger looking ones last night. But damn are there a lot of choices. Some even walking in twos and threes. Wastrel had mentioned that every year this seems to happen and then goes away. Correct me if I'm wrong, but THIS level of activity is something I haven't seen in the ten or so years I've discovered this hobby in this town. I mean one could plop themselves anywhere from Arville to DM, and see at least two within eyesight, and at times I've seen up to seven at one time.
Anyway, back to the lady I was with. A BSW that called herself Ci Ci (OR C.C.) and I partook whilst waiting for ANOTHER girl that called herself Nature. I found her and negotiated, but she had a prior appointment she had to fulfill and said she'd be out afterwards. She was a fine looking thing, and clearly over 18. I waited for a good 20 minutes and had noticed C.C. before, but didn't talk because she looked to be high school age. I finally sidled over and made some small talk while we checked each other out. Her I.D. looked real enough, so instead of waiting around for a girl who had just peformed, I figured to go with this very petite cute young thing. I enjoy your LV and LA posts. And while I get to LV often, certainly not as much as you from your West Coast base. That said, let's not jump to overstatements that potentially draw even more LE attention to Tropicana than it's already getting and ultimately ruin a good thing. I'll be back shortly and will certainly check out the scene again (if its still there), but based on what I saw a week ago there's NO way that "many" are under 18. Young yes, as in 18-24, but c'mon. Mongers dumb enough to chance things with anyone who may be younger deserve the consequences.

PM me if you've actually got evidence to support your sweeping generalizations ("Every single one", "All of them," "most are", "many are"). What are you checking IDs and doing interrogations? I'm sure our LEO friends monitoring the board appreciate the heads up.

I agree Speck. I got a good look at a couple late last night by the Chevron near the Orleans. Those girls weren't a day over 16-17. One was so young, she didn't have the walk right.

Something about most of them gives me the feeling that the majority are not local, probably are heavily managed by an "uncle" or two, and they may be very business-like in their attitude toward customer service, as well as about two to three times as expensive as the average SW. I don't know exactly what leads me to suspect all of this just by looking, so I could easily be mistaken, but that's the feeling I get. Some of them really are exceptional lookers, and I imagine they could be working the resorts too, unless they've had problems with security from the two major Strip conglomerates, which between them control close to 90% of the resort corridor now. The majority of them I saw were way, way over the top in their outlandish “do-me” costumes. If the skirts were just a little shorter I could have counted pubic hairs.
