In my intermittent 20 years as a monger I've found that's the best way to find good providers for reasonable rates. Many providers are a bit (or much more) mental and it's really the only way they can make anything resembling decent money since they can't hold down a 'normal' job. Some such providers are scammers and / or thieves, but others aren't and provide good to great service though many are flaky and unreliable.
