Haven't posted much since I moved to the city. Thought I'd fix that with this review.

I'm not sure how providers check it but from googling, there's a paid service called twilio that does it. For GV, if it goes to voicemail, there will be an automated message that gives away its a gv #. You can customize the message but then you wouldn't want to leave your voice on the vm. Mia Bella is an example of a provider that states on her ad she doesn't accept voip #s.

On eros with a local girl here that has been mentioned as a good provider near o'hare. Once I put the gv number into her email which was her initial way she wanted contact she went silent. They werent only using my phone # for screening though, its one of the items most asked when screening. They also took my references. Either way, they eventually will need your number when you contact them for hotel info.
