Look into it, I think most of the newer phones have that option. Some phone service companies may charge extra though.

The other possibility (or maybe "probability" given the track record of this "friend") is that the "cousin" actually had her phone, which was not "dead" at all. She did delete most of the call log on my phone, which was suspicious.

I was with a friend, whose phone was supposedly dead, last week. She used my phone to call someone for directions. I saw later that she had called her own phone number. There were also texts back and forth, all with her number. I questioned her about it yesterday and she told me that she had her phone set up to forward calls to her "cousin" when the battery was dead so that she "didn't miss any messages". I'm not a techie; so this was something new to me. Even with the explanation; it still seemed weird. Why didn't she call the "cousin" at his phone number?

Thinking about it later though: if someone is doing this; one doesn't really know who is actually calling or texting. I have received texts from this "friend" that seemed a bit out of character for her normal conversation style. Now I'm wondering if it was actually her that sent them. More BS for a guy to deal with!
