Nope. There are a lot of "known" stars who charge around $500 or less if you book them outside an agency. Amy used to charge $500/ hr. I'm not sure about her current rate.

BTW, many of those that book for $800-1000 independently (not through an agency) can probably be negotiated down to $500 or so after a first date. If you're not a jerk to them, anyway.

A lot also depends on whether or not you're booking them in their "home town" or while they are on tour. When on tour, the costs are usually higher because they have to cover the cost of plane fare, hotel room, food, etc. While they're no tour. At home, they are often cheaper.

You have misinterpreted the legislations. "Decriminalizing" something is not the same as legalizing it.

What "decriminalization" means is prostitutes won't go to jail. It means that police won't engage in stings to arrest prostitutes. However, that won't stop police from arresting johns. It won't stop police from arresting prostitutes caught with drugs. It won't stop police from arresting prostitutes if they hang out in neighborhoods and garner complaints, etc. All it would mean is that police would generally look the other way.

That's absolutely not true. There was a list that floated around TER for years of pornstars and amateur pornstars / models who booked dates for less than $300. I think I still have that list somewhere. And there are still plenty of porn stars out there who book for $500 or less.

Not sure if you're just listing her as an example of an A list star, but Amy Anderssen doesn't do bare anything as an FYI. At least that's what she told me when I first contacted her about 2 years ago. Has anyone heard otherwise?
