Kind of off topic, but this is the same thing I said about an incident that happened a few years ago over on the east side in Centerville. For those of you familiar with Pink's, Fuji Spa and what used to be VIP a few years ago there were raided. The main reason for the raid was looking for undocumented girls who are being trafficked. They went through attics they had sniffing dogs they went through crawl spaces oh, they were very very serious about it. What did they come up with? Absolutely nothing.

This fever for using "trafficking" to go after sex workers in the last few years is a way for LE to bring more liberal politicians and the public along with their desire to arrest people. Some of it is done knowing there is nothing to it and to increase support for their efforts, and some of it is a real misunderstanding by activists about asian cultures and why women do sex work. The terrible FOSTA / SESTA law is another prime example of this.

There is a movement building to decriminalize sex work, a bill in the NY legislature now. Here's hoping society moves in that direction and reverses this trend.
